Biography:
Dr. Jacobs has had extensive training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Hand, and Upper extremity Surgery. He trained for 9 years after completing medical school in prestigious Centers in NYC, the Bronx, and Brooklyn, including Centers of Excellence at Cornell University, Columbia University, Kings County and SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center, Detroit Receiving Hospital in Michigan and the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
He has 36 years of experience treating patients with traumatic injuries and is currently a plastic surgery trauma specialist handling emergency trauma cases acutely in several hospitals in Northern, NJ . Prior to this, he performed Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgery in New York for 11 years. He currently performs Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Hand and Upper & Lower Extremity Surgery for traumatic injuries, usually in the acute trauma and emergency room settings, both in-patient and out-patient.
He has trained residents, and fellows, and medical students, and extends himself to mentor College students and High School students who are interested in a career in Medicine and Surgery, or in seeking training as a Physician Assistant, Nursing student, Hand Therapist and Physical & Occupational Therapist. All are welcome to train and explore options for a career in the Health Sciences and Services with Dr. Jacobs.
Most referrals are Emergency Room driven and/or referrals from prior patients and peers that are aware of my expertise with traumatic injuries.
